The Rarely Spotted Wren
By
Shelley Miller
Very rarely, now and then
I spot the rarely spotted wren.
Rarer than the speckled hen,
smaller than the diddy men.
More than two but less than ten,
the number of times I've seen the wren.
The briefest sighting now and then
and by the time I count to 10,
the rarely spotted's gone again.
