Full Circle

FULL CIRCLE

By Rosemary Clarke

A long time ago
Nature was all
And then we came
We cut the forests
Burned the fields
Smashed the flowers
And now some of us are dying
Bees nourish our fruit and vegetables
Blossom cheers us
Bird song gives us the strength to go on
Nature unlike Mankind
Is not unforgiving

  1. Future portents? Deep and heartfelt sentiments. Nice.

  2. Nice, Rosemary. Maybe I'm too cynical but dread the thought of us reverting to our unthinking ways when this is all over.

  3. Enjoyed reading this. There's nothing in the shops that equals the joy of nature...except maybe a Morrisons fresh cream Victoria sponge cake.
