How is Love Born

How is Love Born

By Len Morgan

So you ask me, how our love was born.

Like a poppy, in a sea of corn.

Supernova, in the darkest night.

Like a blind man, regaining his sight,

it was sunshine in a raging storm,

Like the quickening before the dawn.

The scent of earth after a shower,

heart beats like a drum, slow, with power.

  3. Written at a quarter to one last night because I didn't have a poem to accompany your story Peter. "I'm a lousy poet & I know it!" But needs must...

  4. Don't do yourself down Len, it might look simple but what Lady would not love this poem written for her?
PS you look like a young Benny Hill in the photo.
