Autumn in all its Glory
By Sis Unsworth
How
clear and bright the Autumn night before the winds descend,
cascading
leaves drift from the trees, now signal Summers end.
Birds
tired of waiting, start migrating so eager now to fly,
a
harvest moon, appears quite soon, to complete the Autumn sky.
Bulbs
go in that show in Spring, but that’s another story,
so
live for today, in that special way, and enjoy the Autumn’s glory.

Nice piece Sis, very seasonal.
ReplyDeleteNice poem Sis, Autumn has a smile and a frown, bursting into a myriad of colours before darkening into the jaws of winter. Your poem offers us the smile.
ReplyDeleteSums up the beginning of autumn very well.
