We are a diverse group from all walks of life. Our passion is to write; to the best of our ability and sometimes beyond.
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday each month, to read and critique our work in friendly, open discussion. However, the Group is not solely about entertaining ourselves. We support THE ESSEX AND HERTS AIR AMBULANCE by producing and selling anthologies of our work. So far we have raised in excess of £9,700, by selling our books at venues throughout Essex.
Thank you Janet. Unfortunately haiku masters is closed for submissions now. It was always refreshing to have a Haiga (picture haiku) selected by the Japanese editors. For those interested, haiku masters still have some wonderful videos on youtube. Within each they have a guest, generally from an arts background. Together they view, discuss and select authors submitted works.
Bit confused here Rob. Is the first one a photo, and one that you took? and, on the second one, a spanish painting? is it your Haiku or a translation. Maybe the incense dreams has got me seeing "Lucy in the sky with diamonds.
Hi Peter, thank you for your interest. The first is a photo and a haiku created by me. The second was published in the Italian journal, incense and dreams. The editor often placed art pieces sent in by artists with respective haiku. It's a wonderful magazine to read. Some are available via Google.
Thought, for a change, that I would let others use the superlatives Rob. Then I can come in with the simplicity. "I LIKE". And, there's more to come...
I like these Rob - the illustrations really suited the Haikus.
