The Optimist
By Sis Unsworth
Summer
has now ended, and autumns come too soon,
they’re
just a distant memory, the golden days of June.
Evenings
are getting darker; the moons eclipse was seen,
It’s
just one month to go now, before its Halloween.
Around
that time remember, that’s when the clocks go back,
the
weather will be changing, we’ll need our boots and Mac.
Guy
Fawkes Night will light the sky; the next day will be bleak,
We
need some inspiration, that’s what we really seek.
I
had to smile just last week, at what someone said:
”One
hundred days to Christmas, there are long dark nights ahead.”
But
we must be optimistic, that really is the thing,
100 days to Christmas
means, “just 200 days till Spring!”
