Concluding that the world of art
Used naturalistic images
Because the masters showed him so,
Irregular lines and shapes and
colours
Surged from his mind and onto
canvas,
Modern art had left the womb.
Riding on a wave of eccentricity
Unparalleled in critic’s eyes,
Lay the product of an inchoate
vision
Expressing abstract thoughts
Symbolic of the man.
Oh, that we could understand
Kinetic brainwaves on the move.
